Hey @the-core.bsky.social, HR question for ya. If the only member of your software team that is asked to do a demo and do a dev project to change something when being evaluated by their potential new boss is a woman, does that set off any red flags for you? Asking for a friend.

Not really with just that information. There could be a business reason for it that I’m not aware of. If it’s a trend or something she wouldn’t normally be asked to do then we start looking askance

Well it was a first round subordinate interview for the potential new boss, and the only person on the team that was asked to do this task was her while none of the men were asked to do a coding challenge. All subordinate interviews were done separately, but the team is comparing notes.

Nope. Yeah, my Spidey-sense is tingling. Thankfully she literally just accepted a new role at a different org (he didn’t know that going in cause it was breaking news) so she doesn’t have to deal with that.
