So, TIL a mangler is a piece of laundry equipment. A mangle presses a piece of laundry flat between two heated rollers. To mangle means to use a mangle to press your laundry. My world has been unmangled.

So, my account was suspended on Saturday owing to apparently “suspicious behavior.” I reached out to @moderation.bsky.app asking for reinstatement and 4 hours later my account was kinda reinstated with no real notice except a request to change my password. (1/6)

After I got a chance to review my email and check again, my account seemed to be normal. But there’s a lot of questions that need to be begged here. 1. Was I still actually suspended once my access got restored? 2. Either way, why could I login but only sorta interact? (5/6)

3. If I was suspended, why could I DM? This felt very much like what a shadowban would be like, but poorly executed. Not an indictment on BSKY, but a data point that they (and we) can learn from (fín).

It should also be noted, that I couldn’t see my own profile including who I follow. Anyhoo, I reached out to standard support yesterday and didn’t get an answer. (3/6)

Frustrated (cause I had some banger reply guy things I couldn’t post), I replied to the @moderation.bsky.app thread I had opened on Saturday later this afternoon. I explained my predicament, and their response was “According to our records, your appeal has been resolved.” (4/6)

I could read posts from people I follow and like said posts, but… I realized yesterday I couldn’t post, comment, or repost/quote post (*post = skeet). I eventually dm’d my missus, and while she could read the message, when she clicked on my profile, it said I was suspended. (2/6)

Hey, can any of my mutuals see my profile? It says it’s suspended when I try to view it (my account was suspended/locked on Saturday due to “suspicious activity,” but as you can see I’m able to post.

I occasionally think about the fact that the greatest social realist novel, Les Miserables, has a guy with superhuman strength for some reason. In this essay, “From ‘’One Day More’ to ‘Brand New Day,’”I will argue that we should recognize in Hugo the origins of the modern super-hero story and that

Two comments: It’s always surprising to remember that he is a teetotaler. He mayhaps trained his Grok account perfectly to do autotext till he goes night-night.

Arkansas fans have a new game plan as they continue their journey through the wildnerness—using field storms as a financial weapon:

I really wish there was a way you could opt out of scam artist e-mails and LinkedIn messages. Like, if you don’t fall for their con man tricks, and instead call them out on their bullshit, they (you know, the Scam Artist Guild) put you on a “don’t bother till they’re senile” list.

My 8 y/o son wanted baked beans for “second dinner” tonight. My little ones always like canned goods cold (Spaghettio’s, beans, Vienna sausages). So I decided to show him the clip from Warchmen where Rorschach eats them out the can cold. He asked me to heat his up after seeing that.

I was in a meeting recently executives wanted to create a dashboard that showed the physical location of devices that we monitor within individual locations. I asked how were we going to provide that sort of dashboard since we don't collect or manage any location data. Their answer: ChatGPT. SMDH

One of the most hilarious things about CFB is, because polls exist and the playoffs are an invitational, you need to root for anyone you play against when they’re not playing you. So I’m a BSU and OKST fan for the rest of the season. Once you get to conference play, it gets more complicated.

This is the same weak bullshit that props up bigots and shoots down disenfranchised groups. Fuck this framing. The scales are weighted and this guy is trying to “be fair to everyone.” Fuck that. We’re beyond that.

Let's address a couple of questions here: 1) is this user toxic? 2) are they making a threat sending trans people to camps? 3) how do you address harassment? 4) how does toxicity currently work? How will it work? Apologies, this should be a blog.

Hey @the-core.bsky.social, HR question for ya. If the only member of your software team that is asked to do a demo and do a dev project to change something when being evaluated by their potential new boss is a woman, does that set off any red flags for you? Asking for a friend.

Muthafuckin gotdammit. This skeet made me want to watch the Joe Pera Baba O’Riley episode and I can’t watch it on either of the main Adult Swim platforms (HBOMax and Adult Swim).

So like, national socialism? Maybe there’s a way to shorten that phrase. Sex it up a bit…

This is probably not the right forum for this cause it’s BlueSky and we all now hate sports betting and don’t do it as it’s become such a cancer. But if anyone put money on this game for WMU to win whether early or late…sue. Sue to get discovery. I trust CFB refs as much as I trust WWE refs

This is still my favorite part of the website because now I want to figure out how to make the perfect “Breakfast Nachos.”

In case anyone wants to see my favorite website as of today, upon its discovery. Definitely looks legit and definitely looks delicious. Definitely doesn’t look like maggot and spider bagels. Point is, not all is lost.

I want to say thank you to my fellow sickos live skeeting the UMass/Rutgers tilt in such a way to convince me to have it on in one browser window while I finish the last of my on camera work calls for the day.

I think about this a lot. When I grew up, TMNT came out, Spidey turned 25, and the DC heroes were all turning 50. Now, how old is Pokémon? And the old Gods? Now wondering what the first modern (19C+) generation to have childhood icons and modern icons mix in media and zeitgeist was.
