So, my account was suspended on Saturday owing to apparently “suspicious behavior.” I reached out to @moderation.bsky.app asking for reinstatement and 4 hours later my account was kinda reinstated with no real notice except a request to change my password. (1/6)

I could read posts from people I follow and like said posts, but… I realized yesterday I couldn’t post, comment, or repost/quote post (*post = skeet). I eventually dm’d my missus, and while she could read the message, when she clicked on my profile, it said I was suspended. (2/6)

It should also be noted, that I couldn’t see my own profile including who I follow. Anyhoo, I reached out to standard support yesterday and didn’t get an answer. (3/6)

Frustrated (cause I had some banger reply guy things I couldn’t post), I replied to the @moderation.bsky.app thread I had opened on Saturday later this afternoon. I explained my predicament, and their response was “According to our records, your appeal has been resolved.” (4/6)

After I got a chance to review my email and check again, my account seemed to be normal. But there’s a lot of questions that need to be begged here. 1. Was I still actually suspended once my access got restored? 2. Either way, why could I login but only sorta interact? (5/6)

3. If I was suspended, why could I DM? This felt very much like what a shadowban would be like, but poorly executed. Not an indictment on BSKY, but a data point that they (and we) can learn from (fín).
