Got cut from the final draft of the book, but as I was researching instances of Rod Serling's work being directed for the stage, I found a 2002 theater production of a pair of Twilight Zone episodes directed by Walter Koenig. www.latimes.com/archives/la-...

The story of that scene, the lady was an spontaneous extra. Thanks Walter RIP

Sad. The youngest of the core crew now gone.

He was such a fun and charismatic recurring villain in Babylon 5, too

It's the second time one of the main castmembers' death coincides with a major Star Trek milestone, following Yelchin's unfortunate passing in 2016, during Trek's 50th anniversary. I was thrilled to hear Koenig's voice again on Picard season 3. He'll be missed.

My absolute favorite scene from any of the Trek movies. The insertion of a little comic relief played perfect straight by Chekov. They tried to do the same thing with Scotty and the computer mouse in another scene, but James Doohan seemed just a little too in on the joke. #RIPChekov #RIPWalter
