Listen to Tim. Brackets are filling a role that was needed for the people that need it. That is, largely, not most of us who are enfranchised enough to be involved in the online community. I don't see myself ever -needing- to use it, but now the tool is there if I do need it.

I would urge folks not to TLDR on the bracket system. The article gives a bunch more detail on what makes up each bracket, which I believe makes it more effective as a whole.

Since the announcement, I've encouraged members of Prof's Discord server to try it out in the LFG channels and a fair number are. Whether it's working or not, I dunno! I've asked them to send their feedback to the official Magic Discord. But people seem to want to try. And that's the important part.

My TL;DR is: Try it before you shit on it or dilute the purpose of it. Lot of people are happy to soapbox their opinions and not walk the walk.

I've been skimming decks and brackets seem to be lining up broadly okay with my personal rankings of power levels (1-2/3/4 lining up with low/medium/high), sometimes there's some mismatch (I have a janky Karn Silver Golem voltron that I'd consider a 2 which has Ancient Tomb) but it's a good start.
