📢v1.8 is now on the App Store! The big update is there’s now a feed selector that includes your following feed and a “what’s hot” discovery feed. This is testing out part of the app that will eventually be: custom algorithms! More details…🧵

This release also has some important bugfixes, including the photo permissions issue. As always, let us know if anything else is broken! 🧵

The search page is now exclusively giving account recommendations when there’s no active search, and it draws from your network to give those recommendations. (This too will eventually be handled by custom algorithms.) 🧵

Let us know what you think about the feed selector. We decided to stick it down in thumb range so that it was super easy to reach, because we think custom feeds are an important part of the app. But we’re open to suggestions if that’s not vibing right🧵
