Open-source maintainers: how do you handle PRs containing code that's obviously written by an LLM? Reviewing thousands of lines of code is very tedious, and I’m not entirely clear on the licensing implications of merging in LLM-generated code. How do you approach this?

Close politely (almost always). If it's something we wanted, and the author makes it clear that (a) they understand what the code is and (b) they chose to create it that way, (and (c) I agree with their judgement), then I'll engage.
