Costume designer Edith Head won 8 Academy Awards for Best Costume Design between 1949 & 1973 (nominated 35 times!). Most-awarded woman in the Academy's history. #Oscars Considered one of the greatest & most influential costume designers in #film history. She died #OTD in 1981. #MovieSky
