One (if not the last) of her films was “Dead Man Don’t Wear Plaid,” which blends classic movie film clips and new costumes into seamless [pun intended] style. She was a star all her own in the classic Hollywood firmament!

She said her proudest achievement was when her submission for the US Coast Guard women's dress uniform was selected above all other entries by the Dept of Defense.

She also guest starred in a Columbo episode with Peter Falk and Anne Baxter "Requiem for a Falling Star" Season 2 Episode 5

During the Fascist period of 1947-57 in Hollywood (i.e. when the US-government violated the 1st Amendment rights of directors, writers, actors, etc.), Edith Head (i.e. apolitical) had to tread carefully with actresses she was close to (e.g. Elizabeth Taylor) who spoke out against the Fascism.
