You know what I love about a good vintage paper Halloween decoration? The ones with the weird little nonsensical details. The odd safety pin on a sleeve, the metal plate mending a hip bone, one shoe untied, a random band-aid, or a horseshoe in place of a rib bone.

Anything by Pete Hawley for American Greetings Halloween is chock full of that stuff. Monsters with buttons, buzzards with metal bands on beaks, t-shirt slogans, etc.
