Sometimes I wonder if my mom cheated on my dad with the shark from Jaws…

Day 21 of putting drawings in my son’s lunch… Introduced the kids to Killer Klowns from Outer Space the other night and only the boy liked it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Drop some computers… My first…

Day 20 Graboids. My son would totally want to try an eat one if he could, just saying…

Back of paper “Sharpie seepage” tease for next week…

This might fix me… Finally found 7Up Shirley Temple, and even in Zero Sugar and it’s pretty amazing

Post trick or treating (the town has an early afternoon event), I found one of these in my kid’s buckets. PARENTS, CHECK YOUR KID’S CANDY! THERE MIGHT BE CHRISTMAS IN THEIR BUCKETS! <hissing cat noise here>

Doing my part to kick local fascists in the nards…

TIL there were “Self-Destructing Promotional VHS Tapes” that allowed five plays before deploying a magnet that degaussed the tape. Crazy! www.reddit.com/r/VHS/s/cD9z...

Introducing the kids to…

Interesting postscript to these drawings, it’s had an impact on how my son approaches his doodling. Since getting them, he’s been abandoning stick figures a bit to do more fully rendered illustrations and he’s thinking a bit more about positioning on the page to fill negative space… His Crocodile…

My favorite Tom Skerritt movie? The Heist, 1989. It played incessantly on HBO from 1989-1995 and is a pure joy to watch. Pierce Brosnan when he was mainly a TV star, before the Bond years, solid comedy thriller.

This week's catalogue feature is the 1987 Ben Cooper Halloween Costume catalogue, featuring old favourites and the era's hottest licenses: He-Man, G.I. Joe, Thundercats, and Small Wonder. #bencooper #vintagehalloween #plaidstallions plaidstallions.com/reboot/1987-...

Why does this Subway ad make me feel like they’re trying to get me to subscribe to their Onlyfans?

You know what I love about a good vintage paper Halloween decoration? The ones with the weird little nonsensical details. The odd safety pin on a sleeve, the metal plate mending a hip bone, one shoe untied, a random band-aid, or a horseshoe in place of a rib bone.

Day 17 of putting drawings in my son’s lunch Orko!

I have something really special for you guys...THE HALLOWEEN RAP cassette tape & coloring book from 1989! Took a chance on a random eBay auction and so glad I did. As far as I know this is the 1st time this obscure song has ever been uploaded anywhere online. Catchy tune with a cute story. Enjoy!

So thrilled to return to @vhuspodcast.bsky.social and meet @shawnrobare.com in the process! Some incredible lists here. Did I go rogue with my list? Of course I did! Listen and hear how!

Day 16 This one was saved in the coloring. I was gonna rip up the line-work, but decided to see if I could salvage it…

A quick tease of this week's catalogue update from Ben Cooper, I don't think it gets more 80s than Vickie from Small Wonder.... #haloween #bencooper #plaidstallions

Yes. Yes I do send my wife pictures of Glass Block whenever I see it in the wild, even in empty amusement park bathrooms…

Day 15 of putting drawings in my son’s lunch. Brachiosaurus…

Day 14 of putting drawings in my son’s lunch… MADBALLS!

It’s a fact www.reddit.com/r/NoStupidQu...

Day 13 Spider! A byproduct of doing these little illustrations is that I’m redeveloping my drawing muscle memory and getting a little braver here and there. Had some fun going directly to color, not just sharpie, with this one…
