I also went to see the Silent Hill movie based on Silent Hill 2 last month. I want to know, why was a cult needlessly added? Also at one point I felt like the director was insulting the viewers intelligence with the too in the nose psychological “gotcha” moments.

Some of the camera shots bothered me with the useless CGI in parts. Ex: the graveyard scene in the beginning and the overhead shot felt so weird. It felt like they used CGI for the headstones which was odd

How do you also mess up Marie’s letter and the iconic opening sequence? Overall it was very meh, but I feel like it would have been fine had they taken out the cult and used some more practical effects.
