Well said. I hosted a local meetup, and every now and then there was someone who would hijack the conversations to keep spreading their own weird ideas… But IRL it’s really hard to kick them out, even when I knew I had to. And when I did it was so difficult and thankless.

Those people would be sore at me and would have no idea what happened (which makes sense), they would insult our community for rejecting them… But I just remember this initial urge to “be nice” and try to avoid kicking them out in the first place… But I had to not be nice.
