Well have a client on 123reg (Go Daddy owned) and they still have not patched the PHP. I have had to shut the WP site withhtaccess so its not vulnerable. Can't get anything out of 123reg when the fix will happen (of course) so I have set up a cron job to ping me every 30 mins with the php version.

So 123reg put up a notice on their status page declaring that all thier severs were now patched. I know that CPanel doesn't show the sub versions but the WP install does, when its running, and my cron job is also telling me that the 123reg server this site is on is not patched. #Tut

It is possible to backport the patches to earlier versions. Not that I'd trust that particular company to do it, but..

Yeah, my hosting company has backported the fix to the version running on my site. Even though phpinfo() reports the same version number as it did yesterday, the build date has changed to today.

Not 123-reg, I hasten to add. Wouldn't trust those guys to open a can of beans that was already open.

They’ve probably got something blocking it at firewall, but so many hosting firms have communicated really poorly about this

well that's why I'm running the cron job on cpanel - hopefully thats picking up the actual PHP version installed and emailing it to me. But yes comms has been terrible - probably because of the panic.

123reg were dreadful before Godaddy took them over, not surprising that they've become more dreadful since 😬 (Alas, we also have clients with both 🤢)

i always recomend my fav host - wesh.uk but tend to pick up business from companies who already made the pltforming decisions and need help. **sigh**
