I don’t think this is universally the case. There is a lot of promoting of Furry-made media within the community. There can definitely be more and we need to figure out ways to reach the community more effectively. People talk about what they know about.

The furry community is really bad about promoting furry media that's actually made BY FURRIES and will instead exclusively promote childrens media that happens to have anthro characters There's furry books, comics, there used to be conlang projects Support your fellow artist if you want furry art

It’s something we are thinking a lot about, and not just for products we are directly involved with. The answer will come from all of us, but hopefully we can help facilitate and empower it.

I also feel like, while I get the "By Furries" part, there is room for welcoming and promoting creators (especially those from disadvantaged / marginalized communities) who are willing to embrace and respect the Furry community. Long way of saying we can embrace those who embrace us, too.

Do people still read blogs that review things? Maybe we need furry Rolling Stone. Rolling Bone. OwOing Stone. OwOgue Magazine. The Uwu York Times Bestseller List.

Not to mention, furry isn't a mono culture and has various avenues of self made content. Some make the rounds while others are blips on radars. Sometimes you just gotta seek it out

There needs to be easier ways to "seek it out" is all. I mean, I personally have no interest in most video games (more accurately the time or spoons for them), but I would still love to know what is being developed by Furries (and Furry friends) and how I can help support them.

Oh I definitely agree, in Los Angeles (Little Tokyo) there's a store called "Happibara Station" where they sell independent artist goods from stickers, keychains, stands, etc. I really wish there where more stores with the similar mission statement.

I kinda chuckle at the irony of "they're used to be conlang projects." There are now. I'm doing a lightweight one personally! The pot is calling the kettle black, perhaps, but also as you say, people talk about what they know about.
