It's interesting to watch the good-will your userbase had fade as the months drag on. Much of this could have been mitigated with a simple, browsable mirror. Instead, you have increased scrutiny and criticism as people become increasingly aware of how low a priority SoFurry appears to be. Shape up.

Personnally I'm not really caring about the website, but about all the stories there, and I know that even if an alternative could be found, there would never be all the stories that I love

Shit is ridiculous. Get the fucking thing up already or don’t do it at all. You’re killing your reputation by having an unusable platform for more than 4 months now. Absolutely an absurd amount of time. Trying to be the new rockstar?

Mostly good news here, though I really hope y’all will allow users whose handles you’re automatically changing to change them to something of their choosing once SFX is up. I know I sure wouldn’t wanna be stuck with a handle that ends with “_2” or something, lol.

Happy to hear more news! I'm eagerly awaiting the return of SF. Y'all were my first gallery from the "long, long ago" days and have a special place in my heart, bumps and all.

Yeah, in a funny twist, since the newer files kept getting bigger as more people had broadband and used PNGs, it makes the import slower; the first 25% was done in a day lol

They decided to do the import to ensure that users wouldn't have problems, and avoid potential further downtime for the import down the line (or to fix bugs)

I've been on it since the Yiffstar days. I just don't get how forcing us to move to the beta instead of just getting the site back up was the choice they went with. We are about five months into this now. For what?

Wouldn't hold my breath, we just crossed into week three of them being back "pretty soon." Nearly 20 days since the last progress update. FA may suck ass but it's clearly the winner here

I expect the heat death of the universe to happen before SF going back online next month happens. It's not even a zero percent chance of SF coming back next month. It's an every absurd hypothetical ever imagined happening before a December SF return.

At the rate this is taking it's gonna make some users just stop going to sofurry, even if it's just to read things. And GG with the foresight of letting people change names so easily, that won't cause problems.
