Are you certain about the silicone lube being a no-go? Furrjoi told me it's fine to use after their "extensive tests" but I haven't really dared to try yet. Used some pure dimethicone to shine a small area, seemed fine, was looking normal again next day, shine gone. Can't see any permanent change.

I was told the same from furrjoi but have avoided using silicone lube for now. I've noticed that the silicone absorbs oils and looks dry, but if you put it on cloth or paper after, the oils leak back out slowly. I guess we'll find out eventually :-)

Friends of mine used a silicone dildo with silicone lube for about a year. Then they bought a replacement for the dildo, And when they held them next to each other, there was a marked difference, because of breakdown

you can wear it with one just fine. The problem is shining it. The shiners for each thing can cause a reaction with the other thing. But they are pretty inert to each other as materials 'most of the time'. Just don't leave them in the same box together.

I have an odd one to add for silicone interactions/care, it may never happen for most people, but make sure anything silicone never comes in contact with Camping fuel, aka white gas. It is incredibly destructive to silicone of all sorts.
