the truth of the matter is, if i find out your game uses AI in its production, i will not speak it's name to my audience. i won't sing it's praises to my friends. i will not talk about it unless i'm warning somebody away from it. and i'm not alone in these efforts!

to save myself some time: if you're coming to this thread to hem and haw and cast aspersions and say Well How Much AI Is Okay, Don't You Know Every Website Uses Claude, That Guy Uses Websites, you should instead go do something more productive, like sorting your scab collection

expedition 33 got away with it bc the truth didn't come out until after it got mega popular. and even though it went on to win awards i think the blowback and the betrayal of that moment are what people are going to remember when they release their next game.
