That's (at least) 1/3 of the games in Steams current demo fest now. What few interesting looking demos I've found only for them to have the disclaimer and insta noped out..

the truth of the matter is, if i find out your game uses AI in its production, i will not speak it's name to my audience. i won't sing it's praises to my friends. i will not talk about it unless i'm warning somebody away from it. and i'm not alone in these efforts!

ngl the number of livestreamers, vtubers and other games media types like me who have reposted this has given me a huge hope boost lol

it still pisses me off that expedition 33 of all things is tainted with AI and the hand wringing started with them

expedition 33 got away with it bc the truth didn't come out until after it got mega popular. and even though it went on to win awards i think the blowback and the betrayal of that moment are what people are going to remember when they release their next game.

Same! Anything that uses Ai no matter the stage of production or reason, means I fully do not support it.

Genuine question for you and OP, we are all on bsky despite the bsky devs using the same tech we're condemning here. Why does it seem so different to support one vs the other?

What game is this about?

It's about a studio called Spry Fox they made a game called Cozy Grove and are working on both this MMO and Cozy Grove 2 so it's also possible that their claims about "using claude to help employees find a better work/life balance" is probably just a lie. bsky.app/profile/duck...
