There were hunter-gatherer societies for 1 million years according to wikipedia, before a single one of them I guess decided to try to take one of the plants producing tasty things, storing it, and putting it into the ground to see if it would grow again. Galaxy brain move if there ever was one.

Yeah. Agriculture enabled much larger population. But health, happiness and quality of life of single individuals dropped dramatically. Interesting how this coincides with the establishing of ruling elites... 🤔
