Two of my favorite tools were merged together, Obsidian and DuckDB. @mehdio.com created a plugin to run and show inline SQL queries locally, in-memory, or even on remote files via http, or remote DWH MotherDuck. Amazingly, it allows Obsidian to "freeze" remote results in offline Markdown notes.

"Associatively linked notes but also compute" is one of those product shapes I‘m still kinda surprised nobody has tried building. I mean yes ideas are cheap but like. All the parts *are* laying around out there. Take Marimo and Pluto and Observable for your executives, and build linked documents.

It would just be kind of perfect. Have a workspace with your computational threads. The results become linkable against and contribute to a more globally spaced store of your insights and thought processes.
