Starting a construction products wish list for 🇨🇦gov (will probably be a thread): Get us a better pipeline for Knauf batt insulation (German) vs Owens Corning or Johnson-Manville. We can’t get Knauf Eco-Batt anymore.

But it would be great to have a list of made-in-canada building products...

Another challenge is Soprema (Ohio) maker of blue skin membranes and insulation. Euro Alternatives we use: Siga and Proclima

I am curious if you can buy any blue skin membrane and insulation from Europe that does the job, or if you can only buy a few select materials that have been tested to the Canadian (potentially harmonized with US) standard

We can use siga and proclima etc… just a matter of cost and availability

I’m wondering about other ones though. Like if you just walked into a French building supply store, what could you put in a shipping container and bring to Canada, and what would require additional testing.
