It is not “totally reasonable” considering his ability to change job growth in that period of time is effectively zero. But I’m not a hack trying to score partisan points so I just view the world differently. (PS-I wouldn’t blame Trump for US job growth in the first few months of his term either)

“Under pressure” from who? NYT continues to root for him to fail, as they have since before he was elected. New jobs report will be out today, and it is projected to be horrible. NY employment is the avatar for the disastrous effects Trump’s economic malpractice is having on America.

He has a plan if you followed his campaign. This is the same “Kamala plan isn’t detailed enough and she needs to provide more” crap the media pulled on her despite having a 200+ page white paper written by some of the foremost experts in the field.

Not criticizing you personally btw, but the media has a HUGE problem with grading politicians like or dislike on a curve. The NYT hates Mamdani so it’s clear that’s what is happening here.

Having a campaign plan is not the same thing as having a plan as mayor. These vary a lot. For example, Mamdani’s housing campaign plan said he wanted all affordable housing to be union-built; his plan as mayor has dropped that. Campaigning and governing can look very different.
