I rewatched From Russia with Love (1963) and gave it ★★★★ #Letterboxd #Film #FilmSky #Movie #MovieSky #NowWatching

letterboxd.comA ★★★★ review of From Russia with Love (1963)Some great spy work in this film that adds in more common tropes for the series and has aged a lot better than Dr No. The last third in particular (taking place on The Orient Express) is particularly thrilling. I didn't recognize him at first but Robert Shaw is an excellent Bond Villain in this film. This one has some gadgets but they are not too fantastical yet. Everything feels pretty grounded. I appreciated the runtime being under 2 hours and everything moved at a good pace. 4K release is sharp and the sound mix was decent in Atmos
