For years now I have been using music from GameChops in my episodes. I've learned today that the founder of GameChops has a music side-project that is entirely AI generated. And while I understand the music on GameChops is NOT AI, it still hurts all the same and I'm fucking crushed.

This is especially hurtful since he made a video in the beginning of this year calling out AI video game music and why its a problem. So going forward I will not be using GameChops music in any of my stuff (podcasts, streams etc)

I've always loved putting VGM remixes and chiptune music in my episodes, and GameChops was my go to for a lot of it over the years and introduced me to so many amazing musicians (Who are still amazing and are worth supporting).

While this is frustrating for me with the show, I can't imagine what the musicians and artists who have collaborated with GameChops previously must be feeling in light of all this. Please go support them directly if you can.
