I actually think the rest of Europe, en masse, coming to the defense of Ukraine and putting Russia in a chokehold that it doesn’t get out of without enormous concessions is just about the best possible outcome to Russia invading a sovereign nation

I’m not laughing off anything. When Russia invaded Ukraine you had a war in Europe. The correct response was for all of Europe (and the US) to mobilize against Russia, militarily and economically. That didn’t happen and here we are. The best time to do that was 2022. The next best time is now

It's interesting how this is always framed as "the conflict growing" and not "the country that couldn't deal with Ukraine is now supposed to somehow deal with the entirety of the EU." Like...no?

Yeah, this is the other thing, if any of the major European powers decide enough is enough, Russia is ROYALLY fucked. If several of them do? Like, what are we even talking about?
