I mean, you can do both, it mostly just involves enforcing those laws ruthlessly. Maybe adding a few. Altering the constitution a bit where needed to get around pardon bullshit.
Here’s the dilemma. When we win, do we:
(1) restore the rule of law and the separation of powers, and bring back civility and norms to government?
or
(2) descend upon them like avenging angels, punish the corrupt and complicit, and incinerate their entire legacy of hatred to ash?

The discovery process for every person with ADHD learning that half the quirks about them should have been red flags. "Oh, yeah, that chemical that everyone says keeps them awake just doesn't work for me, idk."
That one in particular feels like it should be something we get out there more since it's so much more objective. Like pretty much everything in that video applies to me (I've mostly avoided people thinking I'm a dick somehow. I think?) but could be brushed off except the "lol espresso -> bed" thing
Before the 2008 crash, Wall Street hid massive financial risks using accounting tricks.
Now Big Tech appears to be following the same playbook.
Americans and our entire economy are at risk because Trump’s regulators are choosing to look the other way.
Flávio Bolsonaro had his passport confiscated by the Brazilian fed police as his brother Eduardo told him to flee to the US.
He is tied to paramilitary gangs, is being investigated & lost his legislative immunity when he left the Senate to run for president.

Genuinely don't think this is gonna play the way they want it to. I know their devoted supporters are by-and-large fucking awful, but there's a reason you use dog whistles and it's because your devoted supporters represent are significantly in the minority.

Interesting approach by Mike Rogers to make his loyalty to Elon Musk & the oligarchy an explicit part of his campaign earlier this year.
“When you stand with my Senate campaign today, you are directly shielding Elon Musk,” Rogers wrote.

We’ve officially entered post-wokeism. Not utilizing tech billionaires’ earth-killing plagiarism machine is privileged, elitist, and dare I say, maybe even ableist(?) Please adjust your behavior accordingly.
To all Democrats in Congress who want to give Trump an "opportunity to save face" via not impeaching him again...please stop being stupid.
He will never stop until you fight back with all you've got.

idk man. it would have been nice if these companies all just collapsed under the weight of their own ambition and i guess some of them still might but so long as anthropic remains profitable it is doing so on the back of labor it did not pay for and i think that’s bad.
but if we're encouraging people to reconsider their priors on ai, i think it would be pretty cool if we could maybe not lose sight of the fact that this technology was willfully built on mass theft. a lot of reporting just kinda takes this as a given and doesn't bother foregrounding it. seems bad!
After several years of calling anyone they dislike a pedophile or a groomer, the GOP has discovered that it can be done to them too, and the chairman of the Ohio Republican party is not happy about it
In his acceptance speech, Lula says he will work to regulate digital platforms in Brazil. “Digital crimes must be dealt with like real-life crimes.” This comes after Meta directly interfered with the Brazilian elections, favouring Flávio Bolsonaro.
It's really important to pay attention to the fact that Lula beat the fascist candidate not by compromising and trying to meet fascist voters in the middle, but by sticking to his guns, promising prosecutions for election interference, and mobilising his own voters to turn out in greater numbers.
Been saying that Musk may have really stepped in it here. All the rest of the capital crimes stuff against him relies on impact rather than direct action. But this really just comes down to a very reasonable interpretation of "enemies".
"Both top-shelf reporting and top officials in the Trump administration, including Trump himself, have said that Musk made this decision on his own. That would be treason. The traditional way to figure out the truth of such a matter is with a trial." prospect.org/2026/10/26/d...
What's striking to me are the rules of engagement and the methodology of action here, which more or less is predicated on burying liberal delusions about "debate" or the "marketplace of ideas". The rules were ultimately very simple: amplify your own message and suppress your opponent's.
Genuinely I don't know that it comes across to people who haven't been here to watch how almost unbelievable this was, just people taking something that looked impossible and dragging it kicking and screaming all the way to inevitability.
Let's never forget the ingredients exist to save our world. We just need the political willpower to use them instead of the poison that makes a few people very rich and everyone else dead.
Reject the few-rich-everyone-dead poison.
Solar has overtaken nuclear. A decade ago it supplied 1% of the world's power. In 2025 it met three quarters of global demand growth.
Almost nobody saw it coming. I spoke to Jocelyn Timperley at BBC Future about why.

Right wing mayors throughout the country were canceling busses in areas where Lula is popular. They basically tried a half-assed coup. And of course...Bolosonaro is claiming to be the victim of irregularities. Not surprising. Still galling.
