I have three novels to write, all different styles, and I'm worried they bleed into each other, as would whatever I'm reading - but none of them are SF, so I'm going to read the EDAs from the start, as a palette cleanser as I go along. First up - the 8 Docs, which I remember as being shite.

Paul Leonard’S DREAMSTONE MOON is fine but probably the author’s weakest Who novel. For a writer so full of imagination it seems lacking in the unexpected and unusual, falling back on the old Living Planet sf cliche and reduced to having Sam running out of air as the peril on 4 different occasions.

Nice for once to have no mentions of Sam’s boobs or underwear though.

It was very weird the way they often chose to depict an entirely fictional character (ie, no actor basis, as far as I know) who started off as literally a school kid. At least with "The Ace Shagging Years" you could see the writers were working through some stuff.
