Has one of your player character's casual attitudes ever clashed hilariously with a serious campaign moment? #ttrpg #dnd #rpg #meme

Clown players suck. Worst character to ever grace my table was "Brick DaBlockhead" a dwarf barbarian who never raged, sniffed his own farts every time he botched, and somehow never killed anything. It was a game of thrones-esque war of kingdoms.

My characters tend to always be on the serious side but usually I’ll have other players be the funny characters and it’s always a treat to see

I spent months writing a homebrew that was supposed to be dark & scary. Our group is open, so a first-timer showed up. He had a large dice case, so I thought he pick up on the vibe. Wrong. In a village oppressed by undead, he says, “They’re so unhappy…LET’S THROW THEM A PARTY!”

Yes. My campaigns and PCs tend to gravitate towards dark humor. Not uncommon for a causal, whimsical moment to turn hilariously dark. Like when the wizard's dog blurted out "Yay! I can think again!" when he temporarily polymorphed her into a person.
