What does the court have to do with any of this though? Im not saying this is a sound and wise financial move thats good for the market but if the share holders approved it that should be it. They own the company not the government and its theres to destroy if they see fit.

Elon owns 13% of Tesla's shares directly and probably around another 25% indirectly, with friends he's lifted shares to making up another 3rd. It's all shell company shenanigans and cronyism. Also, those weird nerds that want to drink his armpit excretions.

He's literally just got a crook elected who doesn't believe climate change is a thing and electric cars are bad. US sales are tanking. Chinese companies are already eating his lunch elsewhere. And they want to pay him more? I mean, wot?

It’s no longer about the cars it’s regulatory capture of the entire US government by this dude who bought the election for a cool $44b

The “Board” made a hardcore push to all the shareholders to support it. Putting aside the sycophants, I think there’s a certain amount of folks who just went along with the board’s recommendation.

Regrettably the board isn’t getting fired any time soon, it’s stacked with his cronies and there’s little incentive to get rid of them. Now, maybe if the company utterly tanks in the next few years…
