I don't know what to tell you Elon, if you can't make it happen on your current salary, maybe pick up another part time job on top of your part time job at Tesla. Times are tough right now, and we just increase compensation at this time.

Amazing, the Tesla share price is just about where it was ten years ago. Was down around $240 before the Nov election and is back to where it was ten years ago. I was an early Musk fanboy, bought into his PR and self-promotion hype. Great salesman but lousy at everything else.

Yes. Guess you didn't notice Tesla renting parking lots across LA to store unsold cars they manufactured before their shareholder meetings. Read they stopped manufacturing the rusting Cyber Trucks because of all the quality issues reported by customers.

Even though shareholders approved the compensation, they were lied to by the board in the voting documents. That's what the whole court case was over. The board said it was an arms length transaction in the filings, but it was actually all a bunch of paid off cronies.

Didn't follow this, but these documents usually disclose absolutely every possible conflict or risk. How did their lawyers not make this airtight? Or in this case disclosure is not enough and the vote was doomed no matter?

The judge voided the $56B pay for #Musk despite shareholders' approval? Sure, accountability matters, but setting arbitrary limits on exec pay feels like overreach. Shouldn’t the market—and those footing the bill — decide what’s excessive? Looks like nuance was lost in the race to regulate ambition.

This was invalidated by the court because of several reasons: flawed approval process, misleading, shareholder communication, disproportionate scale and terms, and judicial integrity. He keeps going back trying to get it reversed; but the law is the law — unless you control the law.
