Unbelievable that you rely on self-published numbers from the platforms who very clearly (crystal clear) allow millions of fake accounts (also included in MAUs) to run rampant on their platforms. When you start on a foundation of lies, your conclusions are false.

X is better anyway

Well, there’s a specific reason to that. Bluesky isn’t tied around an egocentric algorithm like you see on most other platforms where the main ideals of the platform are to keep you online. #Bluesky also isn’t riddled with ads trying to feed an algorithm of addiction for shopping. 💁🏻‍♀️

It doesn't help that Bsky's native app gives me the choice of either giving all my personal details to an easily hackable third party or having a restricted feed and no DMs. Or, as I did, go to a different app and have normal access.

That said, I think Threads in for bigger masses, it's like modern alternative to Facebook, not for X. Bluesky is alternative for X imo. Also Bluesky is more open and AT Proto allows creating bigger ecosystem of social services.

I primarily use the web version so my usage doesn't count 🤷‍♂️

Well I’m not going back to Threads. This is the only Twitter clone that isn’t weaponizing algorithms.

I think people are suffering from social app fatigue which is exactly what the GOP wants. They flood the zone continuously. Purposefully. We're all tired. But nothing could make me return to X. It's a hellhole. Threads isn't better. I like Instagram. There's diversity & excellent independent news.
