Love it, but I also realize a non-zero number of kids will be there bc their parents are working to serve the rest of the city on their night out

I mean, working folk would be working, anyway - free childcare is free childcare. There's nothing bad about this.

No, I realize that. But since it's framed as "parents' Night Out" it's good to recognize that some people still need to work instead of being able to have fun. I'd imagine this night would be good for work! Hopefully lots of tips.

Im trying to figure out why you think other people *dont* think that some of the folks who work at night are parents, and need to be gently scolded about it. If your parents didnt work, that would go along way to explain your situation.
