I don’t understand why this whole account is apparently nothing but soccer. Dozens and dozens of articles about soccer, and nothing else. Am I on the wrong The Athletic?

The Athletic writes about other sports, but it's main audience is UK (mainly English) football supporters.

Huh? The Athletic is the New York Times’s nat’l sports coverage. Its main audience is supposed to be Americans following NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB, while also writing “about other sports” like Premier League and int’l soccer. They have local beat writers in every American city.

This is a good point because they also have an account, The Athletic Football, for just soccer coverage.

On other platforms like Facebook they’re posting their other stories. I don’t understand why the Bluesky account is nothing but UK and int’l soccer. It doesn’t reflect what The Athletic actually looks like. It’s weird.
