Trump is the first president to be a convicted criminal. A measly price to pay not just for his crimes. Prosecutor Steinglass rightly asserts Trump “has caused enduring damage to public perception of the criminal justice system and has placed officers of the court in harm’s way.”

Trump is the first president to be a convicted felon. A measly price to pay not just for his crimes but also Prosecutor Steinglass’ rightly assertion that Trump “has caused enduring damage to public perception of the criminal justice system and has placed officers of the court in harm’s way.”

Not really. After everything he's done, all he's got against him is record in a file which is of no consequence. One set of cases: not punished. Everything else: dropped or not even investigated to prosecution.

Indeed. Steinglass’ statements in court today were on point. Not only did Trump have no remorse, he used his power to destroy the court & judicial system as much as possible. And for that, a 34x convicted felon gets? Exactly nothing for a penalty. Unconditional discharges for everyone!

Imagine being so insulated, so allergic to newspapers, books & factual commentary, that you think Trump is telling the truth at his sentencing. Imagine living in a world where you think your normal, average, dutiful neighbors, who found him guilty of 34 felonies, are part of a government conspiracy.

Define some. We clearly have different definitions of the word. To help those willing to lie to themselves, imagine a Black man in the same position. He would get “some” justice and it would not resemble “nothing.”

“Some justice”? Trump’s sentencing was literally no prison time or fine. He was sentenced to presidential immunity for the next 4 year! The GOP killed justice slowly as vengeance for making Nixon resign. The only justice left is The People’s justice. The kind Luigi discovered.
