Everyone knew someone who had polio. My sister had a friend who got it. My parents were uneasy about summer, because that’s when polio was rife. When we finally got the vaccine the late 50’s, early 60’s, people flocked to get the kids vaccinated.

well, it won’t take long till our cemeteries start filling up again with the graves of children and people decide that maybe vaccines are a good idea

Please. The science and medical community has stood strong on vaccines. If the media is toxic and people are stupid and gullible, well, maybe that’s their own damn fault. For too long, our system has protected stupid people. To all our detriment

I was born too early to get any of the childhood illness vaccines except polio. Even in the early 60s, parents were afraid of polio, tuberculosis, and more. I have realized my health was damaged permanently by measles, which almost killed my sister.

And a lack of education for too many younger generations that BENEFITTED from these vaccines when they were kids. They never HAD to see these diseases. And now SELFISHLY don't offer their own kids these protections.

And a third was the mainstreaming of Anthony Wakefield's bullshit, thanks to celebrity moms like Jenny McCarthy and Suzanne Sommers being platformed by Oprah and bringing Wakefield's nonsense into American living rooms after he had been debunked and dismissed from medical-profession spaces.
