Evangelicals care more about the jewish bible (The Old Testament) and disregard the actual teachings of Christ (The New Testament). Christianity is literally based on Christs teachings!

Evangelicals care about a version of the bible that only exists in their head. It’s a selectively redacted version that emphasizes their confirmation bias.

As a gay guy, I know! They love to quote the supposed ban on man lying with man phrase. But they ignore the no shaving, no tattoo, no mixed clothing, or eating food from animals with cloven feet phrases.🤷‍♂️ Like I can pick and choose what I like and don't like and you MUST follow my interpretation!

In my admittedly, limited experience, it is much more common for evangelical preachers to quote the Old Testament or the book of revelations you seldom hear them quote Jesus.
