Dear Bulwark, I suggest you come down here to Alabama and ask afew questions, you will find out the the people that voted for Trump and have losts the most love him the most. Think Jim Jones and you will get picture. Tubertrump, who lives in Fla. will likely be the next AL Gov because Trump said so.

Populist backers have empowered the worst of the worst in each country. We now need to empower those with a minimum of rationality and ethics. Shame has a place to signal to those who would change: you don't want to be identified with the worst. The worst are not the audience.

Until we get people advocating actual rights-protecting government and capitalism then our only options are autocrats. Politics isn't about "coalitions." It's about actually understanding the subject of politics. That's what's missing today.

If people want to leave MAGA and join the rest of us in the fight for democracy, great. I’m not throwing them a damn party or getting on my knees thanking them for their conversion. Most of are only doing it for selfish reasons and have no concern for the people whose lives have been devastated.

You can't shame people who have no shame. #logic Side note from my ADHD brain -- I was just reading about the mind-changing effectiveness of deep canvassing and wondering why it isn't being used more widely.

Words without action for change is just future abandonment dressed up in a more acceptable hat. Disavowing Trump but voting for the flock is not changing your mind, so they can still spend Thanksgiving dinner isolated from polite society.
