That is because the Republican Party is the American Fascist Party. The GOP has fully embraced fascism. While their followers cheer on authoritarianism because they’re too uneducated to understand they’ll be crushed by it too! This also didn’t just happen, it’s been 40+ years in the making…

Yes, Republicans go along. But although there is institutional resistance, it seems inadequate, indicating failures of governmental and societal structures. From the outside the US looks deeply flawed. Americans must address this before or after you explode or, less messy for the world, implode.

It’s the court.

I already believed it was over and too late the moment he won re-election. Not that it wasn’t worth fighting and necessary to fight, but that authoritarianism was here already. I don’t trust the midterms. We are NO LONGER A LIBERAL DEMOCRACY after just ONE year of this regime.
