That's why when WMS was released I had already evolved to more interesting pastures after being fully dedicated for years But I still thank them for showing me the way. Had I stagnated, I guess I would also be thrilling But the fulcrum here is the publicity stunt of a dying generation. WHY DO IT?

As far as evolving, I don't find it necessary to abandon a band just because I don't like their current material. I didn't like WMS that much either, and TC and 4.13 even less. That didn't stop me 'thrilling' over Bloodflowers and SOALW. Bands don't owe us music we're guaranteed to like.

A publicity stunt on whose behalf? If you mean on Robert's, as far as I can tell Robert has never done things just for publicity, rather he just does what he wants. So I presume he likes her stuff, hence saying yes.

I love #TheCure pop. But it's a question of dosis. And it's tricky because The Cure is a chameleon. You can create a double CD full of crying sad dark tracks and another 2 CD brings you to dance & laugh. It's hard to satisfy both sides. Mission impossible. I love the wish tour FIIL but now..IDM.

Yeah but there's pop and there's pop. The Cure's pop is still 'alternative' to some degree; what we used to call 'indie pop'. My point was more that he also likes (some) more standard, more electronic, more mainstream pop, like the examples I gave.

At least you played a summer festival as a headliner (the only profit for me it's always great to see you alive & in a good form) But lately from the electro club right on a teenstar colorful stage is a bit to much for me. I'm sorry. I'm so dizzy from all this. The Cure forever.
