Today is World Food Day. "It highlights global hunger, malnutrition, poverty, and food insecurity." It is tragic that anyone in the world goes hungry or is malnourished, but it is especially despicable that people in America suffer from this as one of the richest nations on this planet.

I don’t understand how my Republican colleagues could hold hands with their fellow legislators, say a long prayer, and then vote to cut a trillion dollars out of Medicaid. There ought to be a connection between what you say on Sunday and what you do on Monday.
