There will be times when the struggle feels impossible.

Remember all the previous times that the struggle felt impossible? Pre-civil war & the entire Jim Crow era come to mind . . . Somehow our ancestors not only survived, but made progress, in this eternal fight toward our dream of a truly multiracial democracy . . . And we will too . . . 💪

Any good movie recs for a time like this? I just watched “Darkest Hour” — about WW2 when it seemed the British Army was about to be wiped out at Dunkirk as Hitler was taking France, some Brits wanted to give in, and the US was sitting back. Good to be reminded the world has come back from worse.

Yep it does, looking over at yall from Canada. I can feel angst here. So many of you have deeply rooted faith in democracy though. Some days it’s ongoing wtf 🤬 and some days we have Colbert. I’m trying to avoid tv with orange baboon & his shittyness but I think your country isn’t going down easily.

I'm at a loss at how stupid we Americans are. How do we educate ourselves better and quicker? In other words, how do we educate these stupid MAGA idiots who keep falling for the liars in office!?

For a while the depths to which the opposition will go to preserve control bummed me out. Now I expect the worst selfish behavior imaginable and demonstrate weekly in our little town. We have 30-45 for a usual turnout and make lots of noise with duck calls etc,, We're at Jerome Indivisible online!

I know this already. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy. Remember this. Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously, and without instruction.

Listen, I'm not saying all blue dots should leave red states, because $ and family matter. But we absolutely should APPEAR to be planning to do that. Research property, jobs, moving vans, schools, whatever in a blue (or purple) state near you.

Here’s the deal, this is not the same world that existed during reconstruction.

When the racists government powers that be implemented Jim Crow they had two advantages. One, many of the people they were oppressing lacked an education and visibility. Two, there was no internet. They controlled the story. That is not the case today. All new redistricting will eventually fail.

Then 1.We should release the "Kraken Gummies!" 2. Gather on the Mall in a bigly way. 3. Start laughing a lot (KG's will guarantee this). 4. While laughing half of the crowd will point at the White House and half at the Capitol. Come November it will clear what all the laughter was about

So, you’re still alive and breathing. Sharpen that shiv is quiet contemplation and lie in wait for that moment. Martinis are chilling in the ice box but bring your own garnish. I prefer those translucent green swords, aka Mr Pointy.
