In 2014 Macklemore posed in a costume that looked like a caricature of a jew in the Nazi paper "Der Stürmer" and he never gave a proper explanation or apology. The words "free palestine" are perfectly OK, spoken by someone, who is an antisemite: its different.

Are you ok with the fact that he was never punished for that but he is being punished for saying “free Palestine”? Are you ok with Kanye west and his Heil Hitler song and antisemitic speeches? He played krafts stadium. The tikitorch mob in Charlottesville chanting “Jews will not replace us “?

2. fear the existing Israeli one. It isn't that I think Israel is great - I loathe it. It has become similar to its enemies. Just so, I fully believe a Palestinian state would be more so. I get to say this without being accused of racism or genocide or offensiveness. We disagree. Respectfully.

"Free Palestine" can mean multiple things. The slogan is not a benign expression of solidarity with Palestinian rights. He used loaded terminology which could be easily misinterpreted. They won't remember the support he has for all people, only the words "free Palestine".

Free Palestine can be taken as it it states. Free Palestine. Your comment was about Macklemore saying free Palestine as if he was saying “kill Jewish people” and his comment was taken out of context with what he actually said about Jewish people and Palestine, and the Sudan, and Congo.
