Next question: why does the right wing media hate the environment so much?

It really shows how important even more rewinding projects and reducing monoculture farming is to making our ecosystem drought resilient. Its deeper than tree cover, but cities definitely need more trees.

Who could have predicted that a diverse natural habitat would be more resilient than a mechanically and chemically imposed human monoculture? Fancy that.

England has probably "lost" 90% of its natural ponds..not really lost.. Dug out, filled in Built over Farmed over Concreted over Dont believe me, check out an OS map for your area from mid 20th century..

excellent!

15,000 sir? Yes please. You'd like to order 15,000 beavers? Yep, do you take Monzo?

Yes, surprisingly wetlands do better in drought than areas without standing/flowing water. Who knew?

This is a rare bit of good news & the results are dramatic. For all the lies told by the fossil fuel lobbyist press, rewilding clearly works. Just look at the contrast in those photos between the rewilded wetlands, providing a safe haven for wildlife and the parched fields surrounding them.

Good luck eating this for dinner!

One thing I've learnt down the years - if the NFU say something, the opposite is true.

V confirms this claim checks out. Multiple reliable sources, including The Guardian and The Independent, confirm that rewilded areas like the Holnicote estate and beaver wetlands in Devon remain lush and… Real-time fact-checks on your feed: https://veratify.ai Errors or comments: info@veratify.ai
