... So another botched execution. Why the fuck do they think lethal injection is ethical? If you're going to hand down state murder get the 12 gauge out and know damn well the lights went out before they could feel anything. Honestly I don't understand why people think injection is less painful.

There are countries with assisted dying practices that are far more...humane...than this. I'm left wondering if torture isn't purposely being baked into the execution process.

The USA thinks it’s the greatest nation on earth yet it continues to pursue capital punishment (which it hasn’t even worked out how to carry out effectively).

A land where kids are routinely shot Healthcare is available to only those who can afford it Where “justice” involves executing someone after a 30 year wait & failing Unsurprising that a country who doesn’t care about the health & wellbeing of its citizens does a shit job of executing them too

Hey. Good on your headline folks for giving 'snoring' the shade it deserved here. I am reliably told that sort of breathing has nothing to do with snoring.

The linked article doesn't say anything at all about the actual execution - nothing about the woman "snoring" or anything that this post states. Seems like the article is an older one as it only says the Supreme Court ruled to allow the execution to happen.

? From the article "In a press conference, media witnesses described hearing Pike snore 40 minutes after she was administered two doses of pentobarbital." "Seven journalists who were in the room to witness the execution said [...] that after the injection Pike was clearly alive and snoring."

I read that she was taken to a hospital. What’s gonna happen now? Euthanasia? Or are they trying to fix her up to prepare her for the next attempt to kill her?
