Another, small but important, example of how politics and media really works in the UK 👇

Byline Times@bylinetimes.bsky.social

"Picking on Byline Times sends a message to other political journalists: Be careful. Don't be too critical. We can do the same to you." @adambienkov.bsky.social speaks to LBC's @mrjamesob.bsky.social about Byline Times' ban from Conservative Party Conference.

Farage on @lbc.co.uk claiming yet again that absolutely nothing untoward has happened while the evidence clearly says otherwise. He seems to think sacking his “contractors” will be the end of the “nothing” story that “nobody cares” about. This should be the end of Farage. Let’s hope it is.

Angela Rayner was dragged through every front page for weeks... HMRC's verdict: NOT deliberate. NOT even careless. Farage pockets £5 million and chooses not to declare it So where's the wall-to-wall coverage? Tell me this isn't a rigged game.

Nigel Farage’s partner, a former waitress not known to have any private money, bought a £1 million house for cash shortly after he secretly received £5 million from a Thailand-based cryptocurrency billionaire - the same house that he claimed, months previously, that he was about to pay for himself.

As millions across the country struggle to comprehend the intricacies of tax law on their self assessment, panicking about making the slightest error on meagre salaries, here is an unsurprising story about billionaires doing what they usually do and avoid paying it altogether.

www.theguardian.com/food/2024/no... Absolutely ridiculous. Labour needs to admit Brexit is a massive error and start the process of reintegration with the EU. We’re actually great at artisan products and to be denied competitive access to the biggest market right on our doorstep is a disgrace.
