This couldn’t be more grim. It was well known that the Taliban taking over again would lead to mass poverty and starvation, especially with climate change forcing rural decline, but they don’t care - and neither does most of the world. Women and girls pay the price, as ever.

And yet we’ve let such people into our once great nation; no wonder we’re half way down the toilet.
