What happened to all the fighter jets we sold them? Oh they were all just billionaire luxury trinkets that weren't maintained and the failsons who were trained on them are no longer qualified and anyway being shot back at is for poors. So US soldiers will wipe their asses for them.

Because $100+ oil, gas lines, and rolling brownouts are exactly the kind of conditions that make voters start thinking, “You know what? Maybe give this fascism thing a chance.”

1) The UK supports the legit Yemen gov against the Houthis. That makes the Saudis allies 2) To protect the flow of oil & prevent further decimation of the world economy & damage to the climate 3) To test our new anti-drone capability that we may well need to defend ourselves shortly

Cheaper oil. Not a bad move but it complicates the whole thing. Little by little this idiotic war will light the whole world on fire.

Houthis seek a Red Sea foothold by flattering Trump. The US & Egypt (with el-Sisi hypocritically feigning help to Saudis, IMHO) underestimate the threat of #Houthi entrenchment in the Red Sea using Iranian missiles & drones.

Saudi Arabia caused their mess, so what are British planes getting involved? We should play no part in this. British forces should protect British bases only.

Isn't the war in Ukraine enough? Let’s hope this interference doesn't spread to the rest of Europe. 🙈 authoritarian no freedom of expression human rights abuses stoning and flogging death penalty – including for homosexuality Yeah, we absolutely must help a country like that.

On paper the Saudi Air Force is three times the size of the RAF. Plus, the Saudi's have 7 functioning, manned AWACS to the UK's.... none, having retired them early and buggered up the acquisition of new ones (years late).

I think we're better off NOT starting World War III personally... And I include Ukraine in that They need the equipment we'd then have to stop sending them in order to try & put together some kind of defence elsewhere

Saudi Arabia enforced a blockade on Yemen that killed thousands through famine. Ansar Allah are the de facto government of 80% of the population. WTAF!

I've thought about this. They are at war, they're still getting their infrastructure hit, people are dying. So, they need help. They are an ally, the UK isn't run by Trump. Apart from authoritarianism, I think that covers a fair bit.
