There is actually a story behind his name: his given name is Bradford, which was his mom's maiden name. But then she left her abusive husband, and Brad later decided to change his last name to his mom's. So, yes, it's silly, but not as silly as you might think.

A couple of elections ago he came to my door (I'm in his ward that he neglects) and I said I was probably voting for his opponent. He got pretty hostile towards me after that and essentially berated me for making the choice I made. So, this ain't surprising.

Toronto hates him. The problem is that it isn’t Toronto who gets to choose Toronto’s mayor. I dream one day we will reverse amalgamation - better for Toronto but also better for York and Etobicoke. Yet another conservative voting scam.

Great piece, I had no idea just how awful he is until I read it. Employing Pollievre and Ford ex-staffers, being an aggressive boss, calling women councillors bitches. What a miserable person, massively unsuited for being a councillor, let alone mayor. Vote Olivia!
