Well, nice to fire people right before a major holiday and when people depend on their paychecks and healthcare. One day, karma will come around and get him, I've seen it happen to many cruel people. The universe take care of us. How can we survive, start now by cutting back.

Hahaha- this trend will catch on in the UK after the recent govt budget changes. Hiring people is hell- an org behaviour inherited from less sophisticated times. It’s why so many jobs suck. Stolen labour is the future #jobs #layoffs #imkidding #thisisajoke #comedy #uk

“As our 15th merger progresses, you'll notice some changes to your benefits, including new health care options—whoops, I actually meant ‘few health care options.’”

Parody and comedy may have basis in fact but that doesn't make it true. Writer(s) at The Onion have entirely fabricated a CEO and his actions in order to humorously express a view about the role and temperament of CEOs. It is knowingly false, and so not true.

No this is a real CEO and his bonus gets put into a really big check with confetti flying everywhere when it’s delivered to him if he’s able to fire enough employees. But even if he got nothing from it, he would still do it because he just loves to watch others suffer.

No such thing as shareholders in Canada Post and staff that get laid off will be hired again once the strike passes. I feel like the only person upset about this strike. I have mail that needs to be delivered

Yes, that was sarcasm. There's not a guarantee those workers will be rehired and are without very necessary benefits in the meantime - additionally, this goes against the labour code. I also have mail to be delivered, but I can wait while they exercise their right to strike for better conditions 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yeah, let me just drive 1200km to deliver a letter. I'm not saying they shouldn't strike. I'm hoping the crown corp. can organize an appropriate solution. What kind of contribution is, "so deliver it yourself?" 🤔
